Our scientists apply targeted and untargeted molecular approaches to assess biodiversity, track invasive or harmful species, and identify algae-derived compounds and their functions.

These powerful tools allow for a multi-dimensional view of an ecosystem, including elucidating the presence, concentrations, and behaviors of organisms ranging from cyanobacteria to whales.
