Research Interests

Jim’s research focuses on a number of broad issues related to the Earth's biogeochemistry. This research includes specific studies on past climate and geochemical cycles, modern geochemical processes, and how anthropogenic perturbations might influence biogeochemical cycles in the future. His research includes examining elemental cycling in the ocean, estuaries, rivers, and lakes.
