Research Interests

I am a chemical oceanographer broadly interested in the cycling of trace elements (e.g., Fe, Al, Mn, Zn) and the interplay between phytoplankton and trace metal distributions in the ocean. I am currently working on projects studying phytoplankton community composition and single cell phytoplankton trace metal quotas along GEOTRACES GP17-OCE. I am also involved in a project studying the role of dissolved organic carbon in mediating authigenic iron formation around the Bermuda Atlantic Time Series (BATS).
