Paul Coulombe

About Paul Coulombe

Paul Coulombe earned his bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Maine at Orono. Paul was the former CEO and owner of White Rock Distilleries, leading his Maine-based company to extraordinary national success. He was the catalyst behind the company’s branding and exponential growth - consistently growing sales of Pinnacle Vodka by double digits. Paul grew Pinnacle into the fastest-growing spirits brand in the country. In 2012, Paul sold his spirits business to Jim Beam with the plan, at the time, to retire.

Paul’s “retirement” was short-lived. In 2013, he purchased Boothbay Harbor Country Club which began his journey of investing in the Boothbay region – an area he had fond memories of visiting as a child with his family. He describes his extensive investments at Boothbay Harbor Country Club as a labor of love. Golfweek Magazine recognized BHCC as one of the Top 100 Resort Courses in the United States. Paul owns and operates three synergistic hospitality businesses, Boothbay Harbor Country Club, Boothbay Harbor Oceanside Golf Resort, and Boothbay Harbor Summer Cottages. He is the epitome of a true hospitality leader. In 2023, Paul was recognized with the Governor’s Award for Tourism Excellence. His philanthropic endeavors throughout the Boothbay peninsula are extensive, broad-reaching, and driven by his love for the area. He has given generously to numerous causes including the Boothbay Region Ambulance Center, Botanical Gardens, YMCA, local schools, as well as spearheading fundraising efforts for a local affordable housing initiative. Paul was delighted to donate new playground equipment and a new ballfield for children and families of the region to enjoy. The Boothbay Harbor Region Chamber of Commerce honored Paul with a Charitable Giving Community Award in recognition of his outstanding achievements in philanthropy, community involvement, and giving of his time and talents to better the Boothbay Harbor region.

Paul lives with his wife, Giselaine, on Pratt’s Island in Southport. In his spare time, he enjoys boating with friends and family and appreciating the natural beauty of the Boothbay Harbor region.
