About Christopher Flower

Christopher Flower earned a bachelor’s degree from Colorado College and was pursuing graduate study in marine biology at the University of Washington when he was invited to join his brother in business in the Virgin Islands and then Costa Rica. After four years of interesting and successful ventures, Chris and his wife, Deezie, moved to Brunswick, Maine in 1973 and he began a career in investment management in Portland. As a welcome return to the periphery of marine science, Chris joined the board of Bigelow Laboratory in 1988 and served as trustee for twenty years. His other community service included trustee and past president of The Morris Farm Trust, trustee and past president of North Yarmouth Academy, member of the corporation of Hurricane Island Outward Bound School, Boothbay Region Land Trust investment committee, and two student aid funds.
